Title: Electro- and Thermo-optic and Nano-electro-mechanical Systems Enabled Active Plasmonics
Abstract: We present three plasmonic nanodevices with tunable optical properties. The three devices are quasi-3D mushroom plasmonic crystal, nanobowtie arrays and complementary split-ring-resonator metamaterials. Liquid crystals, hydrogels, and NEMS methods are utilized to dynamically tune these devices’ optical properties.
