Our department’s partnership with industry helps our students become successful and helps us solve real-world research problems that are critical to industry. We have several different ways to provide assistance to industry and ways for industry to become involved in our academic and research programs.
Hiring Our Students
Thank you for your interest in recruiting our graduates. Graduates of our programs work in companies in the public and private sector all over the world and in many capacities. We appreciate your continued support of our programs and department.
If you would like to post an opening for an internship, co-op, summer opportunity, or full-time job, please post it with Engineering Career Services, a widely used and highly trafficked job site. All job postings must be posted and advertised with Engineering Career Services to comply with federal Equal Employment Opportunity laws.
Research and Development Opportunities
Our faculty always are looking for new research opportunities and ways to collaborate with industry partners. Recent revisions to ISU’s intellectual property policy enable exclusive ownership by the corporate sponsors as an IP option. See a list of research focus areas for electrical and computer engineering faculty and graduate students at Iowa State.
- For faculty/graduate student research collaborations: Contact the department’s Director of Research to discuss research opportunities.
- For undergraduate research opportunities: If you’re interested in having an undergraduate senior design group work on a project, visit the ECpE Senior Design website.
- For licensing existing technology: If you’re interested in technology already developed by our faculty and students, consult the ISU Research Foundation’s Office of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer for information on technologies available for licensing.
