Course description: The short-course “EMT Simulation of Primary Energy Resources”  will focus on modeling the essence of key primary energy resources for inverter-based resources steered by grid-forming regulators. The topics that this course will cover are:
1) June 21: Review of EMT simulation, grid-forming regulators, and primary energy resources.
2) June 28: Control and simulation of photovoltaic arrays.
3) July 12: Control and simulation of wind turbines.
4) July 19: Control and simulation of battery energy storage systems.
This short course is powered by the Electric Power Research Center (EPRC) at Iowa State University and the National Science Foundation (NSF) grant No 2013739.
