Soeren Schrader

Mohammed Barakat

Speaker: Soeren Schrader and Mohammed Barakat, Umlaut

Title: Enabling an Efficient Construction of Power Grids

Abstract: The speakers will provide a general introduction to Umlaut and the services it provides. They will then introduce a study about how to use power flow analysis to enable an efficient construction of grid expansion projects.

Bio: Soeren Schrader received a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from RWTH-Aachen University. He worked for 8 years on diverse projects about the grid integration of electric vehicles and is now the Managing Partner for Umlaut’s energy team in North America. Mohammed Barakat received a MSc degree in electrical power systems and energy economics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. During his time with Umlaut he worked on projects in the field grid studies for TSOs.
