Meet with an Advisor
Students can meet with an academic advisor in the ECpE Student Services Office by either scheduling an appointment or stopping by the office during walk-in hours.

Office hours
- Normal business hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Closed on university holidays and weekends
- Walk-in Hours: 3.30-4.30, Monday through Thursday. If you have a quick question, you may see your advisor during walk-in hours. Walk-ins are limited to 5-10 minutes. If you would like more time with an advisor, please set up an individual appointment. You should attend the walk-in period for your assigned advisor, but if urgent, you may meet with any. Walk-In Hours are subject to change without notice.

Electrical, computer, and cyber security engineering undergraduate degree requirements consist of five components: the basic engineering program, departmental core curriculum courses, general elective courses, technical electives, and other remaining courses.
The electrical and computer engineering flowcharts below are a tool to help you plan for and manage your class schedules at Iowa State. While the flowcharts are designed to show a four-year plan, it is easy to adjust the time frame to suit your needs.
The flowcharts on this site should be used as a supplemental method of understanding how your classes work together within your degree program. The primary method is reading the ISU Course Catalog and course descriptions. You can use a flowchart (below) to help plan the registration process.
